How To Get To Tangalooma With all the benefits of an island paradise conveniently located on Brisbane’s doorstep, The ‘Villas at Tangalooma’ is a short 75 minute cruise from the mainland. For many the cruise on Brisbane’s breathtaking waterways is every bit as enjoyable as the island itself.

You can reach ‘Villas at Tangalooma’ either by passenger ferry or the 4WD Barge. With the Tangalooma Villas only a short 10-15 minute beach walk from the Tangalooma passenger ferry and your bags delivered to your door, nothing could be simpler.

For those wanting access to the beach 4WD tracks, the 4WD barge (the Mi-Cat) docks at the "Tangalooma Wrecks" and is a short drive to the villa car park.

The Passenger Ferry (Holt Street Wharf Pinkenba - 1300 652 250)

With three launch vessels available (Tangalooma Jet, Tangalooma Flyer and Tangalooma Express) you will start your island getaway by enjoying the scenic beauty of the region’s waterways and wildlife.
The passenger launches depart from Brisbane’s Holt Street Wharf at Pinkenba. Holt St Wharf is situated approximately 2km from the Gateway Bridge on the north bank of the Brisbane River.

Launch Times & Check In

Click here to view the current launch times to and from the resort. Check-in is 30 minutes prior to departure time. Tags are provided for your luggage when you check your bags onto the ferry at Pinkenba. Label them with your villa number and they will be delivered to the luggage bay closest to your villa. Please be sure to notify reception at least three hours before pickup, for your departure.

Driving To The Wharf:-

Holt Street Wharf is approximately 15 minutes from Brisbane Airport and the City Centre.

From the City and Western Suburbs: - Travel down Kingsford Smith Drive, then approximately 2km past the Gateway Motorway overpass, turn right into Holt Street and follow to the end.

From the Gold Coast and South:- Follow the Gateway Motorway then take the first exit over the Gateway Toll Bridge (City exit) to Kingsford Smith Drive. Turn right under the overpass, along Kingsford Smith Drive for approximately 2km then right into Holt Street and follow to the end.

From the Sunshine Coast and North:- Follow the Gateway motorway then take the City exit (First exit after the Airport Exit) to Kingsford Smith Drive. Turn right into Kingsford Smith Drive for approximately 1.5 km then right into Holt Street and follow to the end.

Transfer Coach From City & Brisbane Airport To Our Wharf:-

Transfer connections with the 10am departure from Brisbane and 4pm departure from Tangalooma will now include all Gold Coast hotels, Brisbane Airports and Transit Centre, as well as catering for hotels in the regions of Brisbane inner city, South Bank and Kangaroo Point.

A coach service to connect with the 5pm departure from Brisbane is now available from the Brisbane airport only. A coach transfer to connect with the 9am departure from Tangalooma is now also available to Brisbane Airport, Transit Centre, Brisbane inner city, South Bank and Kangaroo Point hotels. Please note that this service is not available for transfers to/from Gold Coast hotels.

Coach transfers from Gold Coast hotels will begin from 7am. Transfers from Brisbane City hotels will start from 8.15am and 3.15pm and Transit Centre pick-ups starting from 9.00am and 3.45pm respectively. Times will be confirmed with booking.

Brisbane Transit Centre pick up point will be moved to Bus Bay 22 on Level 3. Brisbane airport pick up times start from 9am and 4pm and meeting points will remain the same, as per the Airport transfer page attached.
Costs associated with the coach transfers are as follows:

• $14 per adult and $8 per child one way - transfers from Brisbane Airport, Transit Centre and inner city, South Bank and Kangaroo Point hotels.
• $45 per adult and $25 per child one-way - transfers from Gold Coast Hotels.

Directions
These instructions are written based on getting to the Micat offices from the Brisbane CBD.If you are coming from the north suburbs you may wish to start at either point 3 or go over the gateway bridge and take the first exit and continue on from point number 7.

If you are coming from the Gold Coast, Eastern Bay Suburbs or the Southern Suburbs of Brisbane get on to the gateway arterial road, take the port of Brisbane exit and then follow the instructions from point number 8.

1. Coming from the Brisbane CBD - get onto the freeway and exit at Vulture Street off ramp.

2. Travel down Vulture Street and then turn left into Wellington Rd, continue down to the lights then turn right into Shafston Avenue which eventually becomes Wynnum Road.

3. Follow Wynnum Road from the City heading out of town, until you come to the major intersection at Cannon Hill which has the shopping centre, the Red Rooster and the Service station on three of the corners.

4. At that Intersection you turn left into Creek Road.

5. Continue down Creek Road until you reach a T Intersection, at which point you will see the Courier Mail Building in front of you on your left and the Metroplex Industrial Estate in front of you.

6. At that intersection, turn right into Lytton Road.

7. Follow Lytton Road along so that you go past the Gateway Bridge and keep going until you come to a set of lights. On the right hand side of the road you will see the office of Brisbane Motorways.

8. At that intersection turn right, and then take the first exit off that road, which heads towards the Port of Brisbane.

9. Continue to follow that road right along for sometime (don't take any exits), and eventually you will come across a large Sculpture in the middle of the road which is has Port of Brisbane written on it.

10. Keep to the left of that sign and you will come to a round about and a Caltex Service Station.

11. At the round about, turn left, and then at the T Intersection ahead turn right.

12. You will then come to another T Intersection - turn left at that intersection into Howard Smith Drive.

13. Drive down Howard Smith Drive, and turn into the first Gate with the Micat signs on it. Drive down the drive way until you reach the ticket office where our friendly staff will help you from there.
